Betty Jane Moore, 74, of Ft. Wright, passed away Friday, July 16, 2021 at her home. She retired from the I.R.S. as Lead Clerk of Accounts. Betty began her career in the Ohio District Office in Cincinnati, March 2, 1987. Betty was a dedicated and hardworking individual who was always ready and willing to answer questions and assist other employees. Member of Cornerstone Apostolic Church, taught bible classes, Sunday school, played the organ, sang and she would preach services and had a passion for the youth group.
Preceded in death by her former husband Charles Moore Sr.; granddaughter Brianna Moore; sisters Violet Reed (Josh) Rush, Alvera Reed (Ed) Stroer, Dorothy Reed (Charles) Ellis; brothers Rev. James Russell (Betty) Reed, Raymond Reed, Harvey (Linda) Reed and Herbert Reed. Survivors include; 2 sons Charles H. (Teresa) Moore Jr. and William L. (Betty) Moore; 2 daughters Cheryl (Joab) Begley and Judy (Dave) Fisher; 2 loving and special sisters that helped her immensely; Margie Setters and Florence Reed; 10 grandchildren Ashley May, Michael Moore, William L. (Bethany) Moore Jr., Corey Clifton, Jacob Moore, Dustin Moore, Megan E. Wilhite, Jeff Begley, Olivia Moore and Justin Moore; 3 great grandchildren Ryze Cox, Dallas and Colt Moore.
Visitation 12 - 1 PM followed by funeral service at 1 PM on Wednesday, July 21, 2021 all at SWINDLER & CURRIN FUNERAL HOME, LATONIA. Burial Independence Cemetery. Memorials to National Kidney Foundation, 250 East Liberty Street, Suite 710, Louisville, KY 40202.
