David C. Gregory, age 89, of Taylor Mill, Kentucky, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family on June 12, 2025. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 57 years, Jeannene (Robertson) Gregory; his parents, James and Anna (Elliott) Gregory; and his brother, Vernon Gregory.

He leaves behind daughters, Evette (Steven) Bentley and Jodi (Jeff) Stone; son, Brian (Natasha) Gregory; 5 grandchildren, Matthew (Emily) Bentley, Christopher Bentley, Jessica (Jon) Girdler, Jacob (Jess) Seiter, and Tiffany Bizeau; and six great-grandchildren, Jonah Girdler, Jada Girdler, Josiah Girdler, Jaelyn Girdler, Emery Schuler, and Theodore Bentley.

David lived a life defined by hard work and unwavering dedication to his family. He was the one his children and grandchildren turned to first — whether something was broken or a car wouldn't start, David was just a phone call away.

He built his first house at the young age of 18 — a testament to his determination and skill — and later went on to build the family home where he and his wife raised their three children.

David proudly served in the U.S. Navy Reserves and went on to spend 16 years working for the B&O Railroad as an electrician. He later joined Procter & Gamble, where he worked for 25 years as an electrician and project manager.

While he may have laid down his tools, the things he built — both with his hands and with his heart — will stand for generations to come.
