David John Wenderfer, age 69, of Independence, Kentucky, passed away from cancer on August 16, 2022. He was a proud American and Vietnam Veteran. Some of his favorite activities included travelling, riding motorcycles, boating, listening to Beatles' music, collecting Flintstones' memorabilia, taking hot baths, playing Santa Claus, and spending time with his family.  He leaves behind his loving wife of 16 years; Lisa Wenderfer, three daughters; Diana Noyes, Tracy Bacon, and Shelly Hoffman, two stepchildren; Rachael (Mahan) Stachel, and Andy Hensley, 5 grandchildren, two brothers, and two sisters. He is preceded in death by his parents, a brother, and a sister.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, SEPTEMBER 25, 2022, at Taylor Mill Pride Park, from 2:00-4:00. It will be held at Shelter House #3 (also known as Forest Hills shelter). It's the one that has its' own parking lot that can be accessed directly from Taylor Mill Road. There are 6 picnic tables, so you may want to bring extra chairs, if you have them. Also, everyone is invited to bring food and drinks to share. Since Dave was a veteran, there will be a red, white and blue theme, in case you'd like to dress accordingly.
