Edna Sothard, 93, of Covington, KY was the last of 11 children born to Cleaber and Mittie Vaughn on February 8, 1928.  Her mother died when Edna was only 3 months old.  Her aunt, Oni Huelett raised her from that time.  She passed away peacefully in her sleep on Thursday, January 13, 2022.
After her graduation from school, she briefly worked for the FBI in Washington DC.  After getting homesick, she returned home in Frankfort to find a job at the local distillery.
She was married to Herbert Sothard, Sr for 35 years and had 7 children, Brenda Bergeron, Fred Sothard, Donna Sothard, Dee Hayes, Herb Sothard, Jr, Jean Nemchin and Christine Wilham.  Between all of them she had a total of 18 grand children, 13 great grand children and even 1 great-great grandchild.  She was able to see 5 generations in her lifetime.
Once becoming a homemaker in 1950, she taught all of her children the Bible, and value of gardening and showing us the benefits of reeping what we sew.  She also was an excellent example of the fruitages of the spirit shown in Galation 5:22 love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness and faith.

Visitation 10:30 AM till 12:30 PM with funeral beginning 12:30 PM Wednesday, January 19, 2022 all at SWINDLER & CURRIN FUNERAL HOME, LATONIA. Burial at Forest Lawn Memorial Park, Erlanger. Memorials may be made to JW.org.
