Elijah "Beans" Hicks, 20, of Independence, passed away on Saturday, January 4, 2025. He worked for FedEx. He was a graduate of Holy Cross in Latonia and played football for Holy Cross. He enjoyed playing basketball and going fishing, loved playing video games, especially 2K basketball. He loved being around family and friends, he was the life of the party. He enjoyed his first cruise last January and then was hooked. Survived by his mom- DeeAnn Hicks, his father- David Shelton, Brother- Jeremiah Hicks, his grandparents- John and Anita Hicks, Gary and Diana McKee. Two aunts- Nessie Johnson

(Dana) and Christina Hicks. Cousins- Aaron Hicks, Coree Hicks and Bryzon Hicks. Also survived by his dog "LA".

Funeral services 1:00pm Tuesday, January, 14, 2025 and Visitation 10 – 1:00pm Tuesday, all at SWINDLER & CURRIN FUNERAL HOME, LATONIA. Burial Independence Cemetery.
