CLARE, Frances Patterson age 101, nee Blackburn, passed away on December 29, 2024 at Rosedale Green Nursing Home. A retired R.N. she had worked in the medical profession for thirty-five years as a Medical Assistant, Registered Nurse and Instructor. She developed and taught the first State Certified  Medical Assisting Program in the area and was nationally certified by the American Association of Medical Assistants. She had been affiliated with the United Methodist Church for over seventy years.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, Robert A. Patterson in 1967, her second husband, Donald Clare in 2007, and her son James R. Patterson of Cartwright, Oklahoma.

She leaves her son, Mark A. Patterson (Nancy O'Brien) of Taylor Mill, Kentucky a daughter, Janice Patterson of Clermont, FL, four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Services will be private at Swindler & Currin Funeral Home in Latonia, with burial at Independence, Cemetery, Independence.
