Jack Toerner, 71, of Ft. Mitchell, passed away Monday July 12, 2021 at his residence. Jack was a retired owner of American Sound & Electronics Inc, He purchased the company from his father Lou Toerner in 1986. Jack represented the industry well, holding the position of President of the National Sound Contractors Association from 1993 to 1995. In February of 2015, Jack received the Per Haugen Lifetime Achievement Award from the NSCA. This was an honor to him, as he was born and raised in the industry.
Jack was an avid golfer , a valued and beloved member of Fort Mitchell Country Club for 39 years. As a Past President and past Board Member, he helped lead Fort Mitchell Country Club into the prosperity we see today. He was a respected leader in the community and was involved with Boys and Girls Club, Member of IBMA, and owner of Ameriplex Properties.
Survivors include his wife Carolyn Cunningham Toerner, daughters Tracy (Jon) Chambers and Tricia Arrowsmith; his brother Bob Toerner and sisters Margie Kruse, Rose (Pete) Orzali, and Denise ( Tim) Kersting. He was preceeded in death by his sister Lisa White. Survivors also include Grandchildren Kyle, Kendra and Karli Chambers, and Joel and Jenna Arrowsmith, and many nieces and nephews. Visitation 11 AM to 2 PM Saturday, July 17, followed by Celebration of Life Services at 2 PM, all at SWINDLER & CURRIN FUNERAL HOME, 214 WEST SOUTHERN AVENUE, LATONIA, Interment St. John Cemetery , Ft. Mitchell. In lieu of flowers donations to Family Worship Center, 2520 Highway 227, Carrollton, Ky. 41008 or to Charity of Choice.
