James Charles "Jim" Resing, 88, of Florence, passed away Tuesday, June 27, 2023 at St. Elizabeth Hospice, Edgewood. Preceded in death by his wife Lois Resing in 2014 and a brother, Albert Resing. Jim was an Army veteran and retired lineman for CG&E. He loved woodworking and was a leader in The Boy Scouts of America, a member of the Kolping Society and St. Paul Church where he was a senior group member.

He is survived by his son James J. (Shannon) Resing; daughters Maria (Robert) Dowdee, Lisa (John) Helmer and Ann (Nancy Taylor) Resing; brothers John (Mary Loretto) Resing and Br. Robert Resing SM; eleven grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren.

Visitation 2-5 pm Sunday, July 2, 2023 at SWINDLER & CURRIN FUNERAL HOME, LATONIA. Mass of Christian Burial 10:30 am Monday July 3, 2023 at St. Paul Church, 7301 Dixie Highway, Florence. Burial will be at Mother of God Cemetery, Covington.
