Luther Lutes, 84, born in Spring Lake in Kenton County, of Independence, passed away Saturday June 4, 2022 at Villaspring of Erlanger. He was preceded in death by his parents Jess and Nannie Lutes; his 8 brothers Sherman, Clarence, Buford, Gordon, Hobert, James, Dalton, and George Lutes; his 3 sisters Hazel Zimmerman, Grace Langsdale and Della Fugate.

Luther loved to play cards, his favorite games were 500 Rummy, Crazy 8 and penny poker. He loved to shoot pool, throw horseshoes, play softball, watch old movies, especially cowboy movies. Loved listening to music, he had a big collection of records and CD's, and liked all kinds of rock and roll. His favorite band was Creedence Clearwater Revival. Luther loved helping and talking with his neighbors. He loved to walk, his favorite thing to do was walk over to the Goodwill and Dollar Store.

He is survived by nieces Barbara and Nancy and many other nieces, nephews, other family and friends and his beloved dog "Flip".
