Omer Clay Mastin, 95, of Covington, went to be with the Lord on Friday December 6, 2024 at The Village Care Center, Erlanger. Omer was a Korean U. S. Army veteran, a retired branch manager with U.S. Bank and former basketball and softball coach at Hickory Grove Baptist Church. He enjoyed golfing and was an avid UK Basketball fan. Omer was an active member, deacon and trustee at Calvary Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by a brother Vernon Mastin and three sisters Kathryn Watts, Irene Cruse and Dorothy Maret.

Survivors include his wife Melba Mastin; daughters Vicki Gatz (Richard deceased) and Brenda (Louis) Agbodjalou; step son Randy (Barbara) Wilson; step daughter Lori (Tom) Tackett; nine grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.

Visitation 2 PM till 4 PM Sunday, December 15, 2024 at Swindler & Currin Funeral Home, Latonia. A  second visitation Monday, December 16, 2024, 10 AM till 12 Noon with funeral service at 12 Noon at Calvary Baptist Church, 3711 Tibbatts Street, Latonia, KY 41015. Burial will be at Floral Hills Cemetery, Taylor Mill immediately following the service.
