Obituary

Patricia Mary Mai, 97, of Fort Wright, Kentucky, passed away peacefully on Saturday, July 11, 2026, at Madonna Manor in Villa Hills.

Pat was a devoted member of Blessed Sacrament Church for many years, where her faith remained an important part of her life. She enjoyed spending time with friends in her seven-card clubs and never passed up an opportunity for a good game. Above all, Pat treasured her family. She was the very definition of a loving grandmother, always offering her time, support, wisdom, and unconditional love to her children, grandchildren, and the generations that followed.

She was preceded in death by her beloved parents, George and Mary Schilds; her husband Robert Mai; her son, Thomas Mai; and her son-in-law, Clay Eifert.

Pat is survived by her children, Robert (Debby) Mai, David (Peggy) Mai, Susan West (Joe Thaman), and Lori (John) Knochelmann; her daughter-in-law, Carol Mai; and her cherished grandchildren, Lesli, Kara, Tom Jr., Scott, Joey, Stephanie, Jennifer, Robert Vocke, Ross, Peter, Ben, Ashley, and Robert Eifert. She is also lovingly remembered by several great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren, along with many family members and friends who will miss her dearly.

Visitation will be held from 9:00 to 10:00 a.m. with Mass of Christian Burial will beginning at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, July 21, 2026 all at Blessed Sacrament Church, 2409 Dixie Highway, Fort Mitchell, Kentucky 41017, Reception following Mass at the Undercroft. Private burial at Floral Hills Cemetery.

Family has requested memorials to Clay’s Kids Tuition Assistance Fund, c/o Holy Cross High School, 3617 Church Street, Covington, KY 41015.
