Rita Jane Workman, 85, of Independence, passed away Wednesday, October 2, 2024 at St. Elizabeth Hospital, Edgewood. Rita was a bookkeeper with Overhead Garage door for over 40 years. She was a member of St. Cecilia Church. She enjoyed making ceramics, gardening, going dancing and loved spending time with her family. Rita was preceded in death by her parents Herman and Marie Wesselman; her siblings Bernard "Wes" (Sis) Wesselman, Dorothy (Tom) Arlinghaus, Mary (Everett) Justice and Helen Smith.

She is survived by her daughter Connie (Mike) Wilson; son John Richard Workman Jr.; brother Joseph (Marty) Wesselman; four grandchildren Christie (Addison) Burns, Kevin (Josephine) Wilson, Justin Workman and Cassie Workman; and also two great grandchildren Madison and Wade.

Visitation 9-10 AM followed by a blessing at 10 AM on Tuesday, October 8, 2024 all at Swindler & Currin Funeral Home, 5245 Madison Pike, Independence, KY. Entombment will follow at St. Mary Cemetery Mausoleum, Ft. Mitchell.
