Stanley E. Kahrs, 95, of Independence, passed away Tuesday, December 24, 2024, Christmas Eve at Hospice of St. Elizabeth, Edgewood. He was a member of St. Patrick's Church, Taylor Mill, 50 years with Independence Fire Dept. and Fire Board and former Fire Chief. Stanley was retired forklift operator with P&G.

He was preceded in death by his wife Ramona Kahrs; brothers Earl and Ray; sisters Delores, Betty, Eloise, Lola and Margaret and his devoted partner Donna Yeager.

Survivors include daughters Darlene Piper and Cheryl Vornberger; sons Stan Kahrs Jr. and Chuck (Robin) Kahrs; 16 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren and 4 great, great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Also survived by Donna's loving children, grandchildren, great grandchildren and great, great grandchildren. Stanley enjoyed hunting, going out to eat and especially loved spending time with his family.

Visitation 9 AM till 11 AM followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 11 AM, Monday December 30, 2024 all at St. Patrick Church, 3285 Mills Rd., Taylor Mill, KY 41015. Entombment to follow at Floral Hills Cemetery, Taylor Mill.
