Theresa A. Hamilton, Young, Wishman, age 84, of Independence, passed away Thursday, January 26, 2023 at her home. She was a hairdresser for 47 years, served on Independence city council for 10 years and she was a Kentucky Colonel. She joined the Moose Lodge in 1987, became a lifetime member in 2019 and offices held were Senior Regent, Jr. Regent, Jr. Grad regent, Chaplain and various chairs. She also served on Independence Fire Dept. Ladies Auxillary. She is survived by sisters-Kathy Stillwell and Jackie Meier, and brother-Danny Young. Two granddaughters- Alyssa Hines and Jessica (Chad) Jones. One great grandson- Weston Jones. Preceding her in death – husband William Wishman, daughter Sherry Wishman, father Jack Young, mother Arcie Ferdelman and brothers-Wayne, Steve and Tim Young. Visitation 12 – 2 pm Friday with Memorial Service 2 pm Friday, February 3, 2023 at SWINDLER & CURRIN FUNERAL HOME, INDEPENDENCE. Burial Independence Cemetery to follow. Memorials to Charity of Choice.
