Tom Currin, 77, of Villa Hills, Kentucky, passed away peacefully on Friday, June 8, 2026, at Villaspring of Erlanger.
Tom was the retired owner of Walton Imported Motors and dedicated much of his life to the automotive industry and the hobby he loved. A graduate of Dixie Heights High School, he earned his degree from the University of Cincinnati in 1973.
Cars were more than a profession to Tom—they were a lifelong passion. He was a proud member of the Antique Automobile Club of America and traveled throughout the country attending automobile shows and events. One of his favorite annual traditions was attending the renowned car show in Hershey, Pennsylvania each fall. Tom’s enthusiasm for automobiles extended to every aspect of the hobby. He participated in demolition derbies, attended and exhibited vehicles at the Concours d’Elegance on numerous occasions, and spent countless hours restoring and maintaining classic automobiles.
Over the years, Tom owned and worked on a remarkable collection of vehicles, including a vintage Corvette, several Studebakers from the 1920s, and most recently, a 1913 Cadillac restoration project. His knowledge, craftsmanship, and appreciation for automotive history earned him the respect and friendship of fellow enthusiasts throughout the years.
Tom was preceded in death by his parents, Edward and Virginia (Swindler) Currin.
He is survived by his brother, Ed (Mary Sue) Currin; nieces, Jennifer Currin Robinson and Stephanie (Carl) Hisle; great-niece, Brooke Robinson; and great-nephews, William Robinson and Ben Hisle.
Visitation will be held from 11:30 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. on Friday, June 12, 2026, with funeral services beginning at 1:00 p.m at Swindler & Currin Funeral Home in Latonia. Burial will follow at Highland Cemetery.
Memorial contributions are suggested to St. Elizabeth Hospice, 483 South Loop Road, Edgewood, KY 41017.
Tom will be remembered for his love of family, his dedication to his craft, and the joy he found behind the wheel and under the hood of the automobiles he cherished.
