William R. Genter, age 68, passed away on Monday, September 13, 2021 at his residence in Independence. He was a veteran of the U S Air Force and a Registered Nurse. He was preceded in death by his father William F. Genter, mother Laura J. Bradner and brother Michael Genter. Survivors include his wife of 40 years Deborah Williams Genter, daughter Kristen (Ronald) Montavon and his son Kyle (Melinda) Genter, sisters: Susan (Mick) Lantz and Joan (Paul) Adams.

Survivors also include grandchildren Kaysen, Recce, and Octavia Genter with one on the way, and Liam and Joseph Montavon, also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Visitation 10-11 AM Friday Sept. 24, 2021 followed by Celebration of Life at 11 AM Friday all at SWINDLER & CURRIN FUNERAL HOME, 5245 Madison Pike, INDEPENDENCE. Interment Kentucky Veterans Cemetery North in Williamstown. Memorials to American Cancer Society or American Lung association.
